Betsy

F, #7285

Family: Wheaton Mason (b. 1781, d. 26 May 1850)

Biography

Marriageabout 1848Wheaton Mason and Betsy were married about 1848 Mason D. Pratt in his genealogy booklet states that Betsy was Wheaton's 3rd wife, with whom he had 2 sons, one named Cyrus. But he also states that Sarah Dow, his second wife, appears on deeds with him through 1848. Wheaton died in 1850, so there wasn't too much time for Sarah to die, and for Wheaton to remarry and have two more sons.

Also, if Wheaton Mason is the man who died in 1850 and is buried in Jefferson Street Cemetery in Ellicottville, which seems very likely, then there is a Letter of Administration to Sarah Mason after his death.

It could be, but should be investigated.1
