Research NoteHis wife may have been Polly Estes.
Birthbetween 1780 and 1785Roswell Herrick was born between 1780 and 1785 in Connecticut. (1785 based on Family Data Collection on Ancestry.com, no specific source). Another record in this same collection says he was born in Amenia, Dutchess County, but that record also says b. 1785, m. 1788.) If it is the same Roswell who is buried in Ballston Spa Village Cemetery, that stone says he died at 50 years of age, which would put his birth year at 1780.
Census1810He appeared in the census 1810 in Duanesburg, Schenectady County, New York. Roswell is listed as: 1 male 10-15
1 male 16-25
3 females under 10
1 female 16-25
1 female 45 and over
Death3 January 1830He died on 3 January 1830 in Ballston Spa, Saratoga County, New York, This death listed on Findagrave may be the same Roswell Herrick. Ballston Spa is next to Schenectady.
Burial5 January 1830He was buried on 5 January 1830 at Ballston Spa Village Cemetery in Ballston Spa, Saratoga County, New York. Lot HF4. Stone is almost illegible in photo, but the GenWeb transcription says 50y, so I assume that is on the stone.

Family: Edith Laskin (b. about 1612, d. after 1677)

SonEphraim Herrick+ (d. 18 September 1693)

Biography

Birth1604Henry Herrick was born in 1604 in England. The Great Migration study says origins unknown, and lists his birth about 1598 based on his release from training. The old Herrick Genealogy seems to conflate a Henry Herrick of Beau Manor in Leicestershire who migrated to Virginia, with the Henry Herrick of Beverly. This has been studied and found to be very doubtful.
Immigration1630He immigrated in 1630 First resided in Salem.
Marriageabout 1633He and Edith Laskin were married about 1633 in Beverly, Essex County, Massachusetts, Henry and Edith had children from about 1634 - 1656
