Arthur Manser, the popular hardware dealer of Summit, has purchased the brick building at the corner of Springfield and Woodland avenues, and expects to remove his present store to it.

The lot is 30 ft front by 80 ft deep. Apartments are on the second floor and Overlook Lodge F. and A. M. have the top floor. The sale price is understood to have been about 15,000. The building was erected by the late Dr. Lawrence, Sr., and Mr. Nelson about twelve years ago.
Newspaper Mention18 April 1925The 18 April 1925 edition of the The Chatham Press, Chatham, New Jersey, reported In an article about a big town event in Chatham, the Father and Son dinner (at various churches) followed by an entertainment of music and addresses in the New School Auditorium, the following paragraph:

"Sunnywoods Orchestra, under the leadership of Mr. Jared Moore, will be an added attraction. Mr. Arthur Manser, of Summit, well known song leader, will lead the community singing. Joe La Vaux, known as the wizard piano accordion player, will render a very unusual musical program. Malcolm Schackleford, a native of Georgia, in his portrayal of negro characters with banjo accompaniment, is beyond criticism. His songs and humorour stories are side-splitting."
