Mrs. Daugherty retired at night as usual in common health, and at one o'clock it was discovered that she had passed away. She was 72 years old.

She was a sister of Frank Essley of this city. She is well known to many in Newton.

Mr. and Mrs. Daugherty were citizens of Harvey county for well nigh thirty years, living many years near Hesston and later moving to Moundridge.
