Biography

Newspaper Mention4 March 1871The 4 March 1871 edition of the Springfield Republican, Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts, reported "The Goff brothers, who have been in strait quarters since being burned out, last May, will, in about a year from that time, move their grocery trade into the west store of the $13,000 brick block, which they, with Dr. Barstow and O. E. Tilley, are building on Main street. Thence they will send their carts throughout the village and the country for 10 miles around. There will be two other stores in the block, each of them with 20 feet front and 40 feet depth. The central one will be occupied by Dr. Barstow's drug business, and O.E.
