Biography

Research NoteMerton R. Kilpatrick, Jr. has a number of Y-DNA matches, both Kilpatricks and Colquhouns/Calhouns, going back to the Dumbarton area. It appears that one of his ancestors moved to Ireland for one or more generations, and then to America sometime before the Revolutionary War.
