Howard Mathieson, a researcher and mapmaker, creator of GeoGenealogy mapping service, carried out extensive research on the Kilpatrick and Kirkpatrick surname, in their country of origin, Scotland, and in the counties of Ulster to which many of them, along with many of their countrymen and women, migrated, especially in the 1600's.
