Two weeks ago the Sunday Register carried the pictures of the romance of John and Priscilla Alden. It may be interesting to know that Little Bruce Edwin Snow, son of Jean Edwin Snow, is the last in direct line of the William Snow 1st, who came to America on the ship Ann, as sister ship of the Mayflower, in 1635. In the year 1273 there lived in Oxfordshire England the first William Snow.

The 1st William Snow the immigrant, came to Plymouth on the ship Ann in 1635. 3rd Wm. Snow's son, Joseph, married Hopestill Alden, granddaughter of John and Priscilla Alden. Joseph Snow's brother, Benjamin, married a sister of Hopestill Alden. William, the first, married Rebecca Barker, one of the Mayflower immigrants, and last lived at Bridgewater, Miss. The late William Wesley Snow, father of Jean E. Snow was in direct line. So that makes little Bruce the last in line. And we'll all agree that little Bruce lives in the most wonderful state and an historical town, Spirit Lake."

At Omaha, September 7th, William W. Snow and Miss Lydia R. Tritle, Rev. George MacDonald, pastor of Olivet Baptist church and former pastor of the groom, officiating.

All will agree that this is just as it should be. The bride has been a good daughter, a good sister and a good girl generally, worthy of the esteem of the community, and to a home of her own she will contribute sunshine and companionship as well as practical helpfulness. Will Snow has had just as good a chance as any boy to sow wild oats and trifle away the opportunities of manhood, but he has chosen the better part of human activity and deserved the confidence of all who know him. In taking each other for "better or for worse" these twain will know nothing as to what is called "the lottery of matrimony."
Mr. and Mrs. Snow arrived from Omaha Wednesday evening, and will continue to reside in Spirit Lake, as we all would have them do.
