Mrs. Tilley was a sister of the late Alfred Cave of this city. She had visited in Missoula a number of times before her brother's death, and has many friends here who will be grieved to know that she has been called. The following account of her death is taken from an Arcata paper:
"On Monday morning, just two days before Christman, Arcata people were shocked to learn of the sudden death of Mrs. Frances J. Tilley, widow of the late George H. Tilley, who passed away at her home on G street about 2 o'clock Monday morning. Death followed a stroke of apoplexy, which occurred about 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Tilley had been in her usual health of late, and her death came as a sad blow to the family and the many pioneer friends. She never regained consciousness after being stricken, and the end came peaceably a few hours later."
