Marcy

F, #6614

Biography

Research NoteThe entry in the Town Records of family births, just below Richard and Marcy Moore, is the record of Josiah Houghton and wife Elizabeth, who had a daughter Elizabeth, and then the first wife must have died, and Josiah married Mary, his second wife, and they had Levi Houghton 20 Sep 1780-something or 90-something, and then they had Marcy Houghton 19 Feb 1790-something.

I thought the proximity of the listing, and the names Levi and Marcy were interesting. I did a quick search on familysearch for this family but could not find it. But I list it here just to keep it in mind. If I look for burials in Worcester County, Mass., there are millions, including about 10 Levi's, but none with this birth date.
