Born in Easton, he was a son of the late John and Lulu (Hoch) Kleinle. He had resided in Stroudsburg most of his life. He retired two years ago from Hughes Printing Co., East Stroudsburg, where he had been employed as a printer for many years.

He was a member of the International Typographical Union and the CLU, East Stroudsburg.

In addition to his widow, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Hendrickson, Lancaster, Calif.; three sons, John B., Stroudsburg, Burton F. Jr., Stroudsburg R.D. 5, and Roy P., Stroudsburg, and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the William C. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main St., Stroudsburg, with Rev. C. Paul Felton, D.D. officiating. Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Stroudsburg Cemetery.

East Stroudsburg Printer Resided in Connecticut

Leroy J. (Ike) Kleinle, 57, former burgess of East Stroudsburg, was found dead in a hotel room here today. The cause of death was not immediately determined.

Kleinle, who maintains a home at 179 Grand St., East Stroudsburg, came to Bristol five years ago to become foreman at the Hildreth Press, a printing firm. He had been transferred from the Hughes Printing Co., East Stroudsburg, where he had worked for 32 years. While in Stroudsburg, he had been a night superintendent.

He served several terms on East Stroudsburg Borough Council, was its president at one time, and was burgess from 1948 to 1952.

He was a member of East Stroudsburg Lutheran Church; Masonic Lodge, Stroudsburg, Lehigh Consistory; Wilkes-Barre Shrine Club; Stroudsburg Eagles, and East Stroudsburg Elks.

Surviving are his wife Elizabeth, a son Leroy J. Jr., East Stroudsburg; a daughter, Mrs. James Arndt, Stroudsburg R. 3, a brother Burton, Stroudsburg, and four grandchildren.

Private funeral services for Leroy John Kleinle Sr., 57, formerly of East Stroudsburg, will be held at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Lanterman Funeral Home with Rev. William F. Wunder officiating. Burial will be in Laurelwood Cemetery.

The viewing will take place today from 7 to 9 p.m.

Dr. Fred Tirella, medical examiner of Bristol, Conn., ruled yesterday that Kleinle died of natural causes in his Bristol hotel room on Sunday. Dr. Tirella ordered an autopsy and the report was received yesterday.

The former East Stroudsburg burgess was employed by the Hildreth Press, an affiliate of Hughes Printing Co., at the time of his death.

Mrs. Elizabeth G. Kleinle, 58, of 179 Grand St., East Stroudsburg, widow of the former East Stroudsburg burgess LeRoy J. Kleinle, died at 8 p.m. Thursday in Monroe County General Hospital, East Stroudsburg. She had been seriously ill for the last three months.

A daughter of the late William and Elva (Staats) Garden, Philadelphia, she had resided in East Stroudsburg for the last 38 years. She was a member of the East Stroudsburg Grace Lutheran Church.

Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Virginia Arndt, Stroudsburg R. 3; a son LeRoy J. Kleinle Jr., East Stroudsburg; a sister Mrs. William P. Fisher, Mapleshade, N.J., and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Lanterman Funeral Home, East Stroudsburg.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving in the Pacific during World War II. He was a member of the East Stroudsburg Presbyterian Church serving on the Board of Deacons for many years. He was also a member of the J. Simpson Africa Masonic Lodge #628 in Stroudsburg.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Carol L. Kleinle of Stroudsburg, a son and daughter-in-law, Mark P. (Cindy R.) Kleinle of Lock Haven; two grandsons, Aaron R. Kleinle of State College, and Seth R. Kleinle of Ocean City, N.J.; a sister, Virginia Arndt of Stroudsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Virginia Arndt, 87, of Stroudsburg, passed away Saturday, April 11, at Slate Belt Nursing Home in Bangor. She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Arndt.

Born July 10, 1921, in East Stroudsburg, she was a daughter of the late Leroy J. Kleinle Sr. and Elizabeth (Garden) Kleinle.

After raising her children, Virginia began attending college almost 20 years after graduating high school. She was the first adult student to earn a bachelor's degree in elementary education from East Stroudsburg University. Upon graduation, Virginia taught third grade in the Pocono Mountain School District for 20 years.

She was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving are her two sons, David Arndt of Stroudsburg and Ronald Arndt of Catlett, Va.; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Kleinle and Emma Arndt, both of Stroudsburg; and six nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy J. Kleinle Jr.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, at Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington St., East Stroudsburg. Interment will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 16, at Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg.

There will be a calling hour from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services Wednesday, April 15, at the funeral home.

He attended East Stroudsburg University and for many years operated Davco, a business which provided entertainment services for parties, weddings and social occasions.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21 at Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington St., East Stroudsburg.
