Prior to retiring in 1991, he was employed as a printing mechanic for Dixie Corporation / James River. John was a veteran of the US Navy serving during World War II. Before moving to Florida, he was a member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ, Easton.

He was the husband of Dorothy (Reinert) Kleinle and was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie (Frantz) Kleinle, who passed away, June 28, 1989.

In addition to his wife Dorothy, he is survived a daughter, Marjorie A. Wolf and her husband Stephen of Nazareth, two sons, John C. Kleinle and his wife Susan of Pen Argyl, and David A. Kleinle and his wife Carol of Bangor, eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, and a brother Frank Kleinle of Florida. In addition to his wife Marjorie, a sister, Nora Hicks died earlier. Funeral services will be private. The Guerro & Ruggiero Funeral Home.
