Personal: His wife of 53 years, the former Sylvia I. Sandt, died September 3, 1995. Charles retired from Ingersoll Rand Co., where he was employed for 43 years. He was a 1932 graduate of Easton High School. Charles enjoyed photography, golfing, fishing and was a handyman.
Memberships: He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Easton, where he was a former councilman and served on the property committee. He was a former member of the Sunny Seniors, Saucon Squares, AARP of Easton and Ambassador Club. Charles had been a Palmer Mall Walker and enjoyed the IR Breakfast Group.
Survivors: two daughters, Elsiann Pledger and her husband Charles, of Norman, OK and Cheryl Moyer and her husband Gregory, of Bethlehem Township, PA; and two grandchildren, Kevin C. Moyer, of Philadelphia and Allison E. Moyer, of Santa Monica, CA. A brother, Martin E., died earlier. Services: 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 602 W. Berwick St., Easton. Call Thursday 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 610 W.
