For the sum of $175 paid by Joseph to John, John sells to Joseph a certain "messuage or lot of land" in Lower Mount Bethel Township, bordered by land late of Frederick Klinger, George A. Baker, and by land late of Nicholas and Henry Fell, by land of David Ruth, and by land of John Buzzard, containing 14 acres, 143 perches.

It being the same land "granted by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to the said John Fell by Letters Patent bearing date the seventeenth of December, Anno Domini 182_ and enrolled in Patent Book H, Vol. 29, page 612."

Excepting 3 acres and 55 perches which John Fell sold to John Buzzard by an indenture dated 28 January 1832.

Whereas, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by Patent or Grant under the Great Seal, bearing date the seventeenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and thirty one, for the consideration therein-mentioned, did grant and confirm unto John Fell and to his heirs and assigns, a certain tract of land, situate in the Township of Lower Mount Bethel aforesaid, by marks and bounds in the same Patent, particularly described. Containing fourteen acres and one hundred and forty three perches and allowance etc. with the appurtenances. Containing eleven acres and seventy-seven perches, with allowance etc., which Indenture is recorded in the Office for recording of Deeds, etc. at Easton, in the County of Northampton in Deed Book A., Vol. 6, Page 286, relation thereto being had more fully and at large appears.

By Force and virtue of which said recited Indenture or of some other good conveyances and assurances in law duly had and executed the said Joseph Fell, became in his lifetime lawfully seized in his demesne as of fee of and in the said last mentioned Tract of Land with the appurtenances, and being so thereof seized, died intestate without issue, leaving five brothers, viz., John, Nicholas, Christian, Jacob and Daniel, and six sisters viz., Mary, Christianna (the wife of Jacob Siple), Margaret (the wife of Isaac Albert), Elizabeth (the wife of Daniel Warner), Ann (the wife of George Imrod) and Catharine (the wife of Jacob Eckert) to whom the same by the laws of Pennsylvania relating to intestate estates did descend and come.

Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said John Fell, Nicholas Fell and Elizabeth his wife, Mary Agony, Jacob Siple and Christianna his wife, Isaac Albert and Margaret his wife, Christian Fell and Isabel his wife, Daniel Fell and Charity his wife, Elizabeth Warner, George Imrod and Ann his wife, Jacob Fell and Jane his wife, Jacob Eckert and Catharine his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and eleven dollars and sixty-five cents to them in hand well and truly by the said David Ruth at and before the ensealing and delivery hereof, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, by these present, have granted, bargained, sold, alienated, enfeoffed, released and confirmed and by these presents by force and virtue of their right o finheritance of in and to the estate of the said Joseph Fell deceased, do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release and confirm unto the said David Ruth and to his heirs and assigns,

All that last above mentioned Tract of land situate as aobve mentioned and now more particularly described, viz. Beginning at a stone in a line of John Ruth's land, thence by the same and land of John DeYoung

The wives were examined "separately and apart from their respective husbands" and declared that they were signing voluntarily.

This is the same parcel that John Fell sold to Joseph in 1835.
